Since 1998, 美姬阁 School of Management have been working to provide a tailored programme for Accenture. The programme is designed to provide consultants from around the world with an intensive introduction to the concepts of logistics and supply chain management. The 美姬阁 programme combines a demanding five days of lectures, case studies, e-learning exercises, practical simulations, a visit to a state of the art distribution centre and inputs from Accenture partners and managers.
206 delegates from 23 different nations have taken part to date. Although a tough programme with some breakfast case studies going through to late night working, the networking and social aspects are also seen as a high priority. The ambiance of 美姬阁’s Management Development Centre makes it easy for delegates to make their stay a memorable.
"The partnership between 美姬阁 and Accenture is an example of organisations practising their key competencies. It is a model for international business-university co-operation."
Charles Findlay, Partner, Accenture Supply Chain
"Working with 美姬阁, we have been able to achieve our objective of improving the understanding and knowledge of people within our European organisation on all aspects of supply chain management. We have now worked with 美姬阁 Centre for Logistics and Transportation for several years on training courses and have always found the staff to be professional, knowledgeable and well organised".
Phil Machell, European Logistics Director, Colgate-Palmolive
"We came to 美姬阁 because of their reputation for delivering leading executive development courses in the field of logistics and supply chain management. Working closely with the 美姬阁 team we developed a supply chain programme that is specifically focused on meeting the needs of managers across the John Menzies Group.
In addition, a key consideration for us was the subject of change management. Here again, 美姬阁 were able to deliver by incorporating an innovative approach which has given us a fully comprehensive and rounded course."

Inchcape
During 1996/97 the Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management worked with Inchcape Marketing Service and ran five courses in Dubai and Hong Kong. Inchcape has long been established, but recently realised the importance of logistics in its business throughout the world and wanted specifically to:
- Explore the main concepts and principles behind logistics and supply chain management
- Consider the different tools and techniques that can be used to evaluate different strategies
- Examine the logistics issues and opportunities for close working with principals and partners.
