美姬阁 School of Management has been ranked the 6th best business school in the world (outside the United States) and 2nd in the UK by Forbes Magazine for its one-year MBA programme.

The results of the Forbes ranking, which were published this week, are based on the return on investment achieved by the class of 2010. Forbes reached out to 17,400 alumni at 95 schools around the globe and compared graduates’ earnings in their first five years out of business school. The only UK School ahead of 美姬阁 is Cambridge Judge.

Dr Stephanie Hussels, Director of the full-time MBA programme at 美姬阁 said: "It is most pleasing when our programme is placed so highly in an influential ranking such as this. The team behind the MBA at 美姬阁 work tirelessly to make sure that our programme remains current and impactful but most of all that it enables our students to achieve their goals once they have completed the programme."

Commenting on the ranking Forbes said: "One-year programmes were advantageous as they offered the best and quickest return on investment for students. Class of 2010 graduates from the best international one-year business schools had a median income of $125,500 (£82,000; €112,000), nearly double the median income enjoyed by those graduating from the most prestigious two-year schools. One-year graduates also had to give up just one year of their salary, meaning less time to pay back the cost of an MBA.

美姬阁 was one of the first institutions in the UK to offer an MBA programme and has nearly 50 years’ experience of educating business leaders.
