Background

Prior to joining 美姬阁 in 2019, Mike worked for a Global top 10 Biopharmaceutical company in a range of commercial and operational roles, both in the UK, Europe and North America. His experience includes strategy, marketing, market access and latterly his focus was patient and human centred design, innovation and organisational change.

Prior to his career in healthcare Mike played professional sport, where he developed a passion for coaching, which he has translated into Executive Coaching. Mike is a practicing Executive Coach, having studied Coaching and Behaviour Change at Henley Business School.

Current activities

Mike's work currently focuses on Organisational Resilience, enabling organisations to anticipate, prepare for and respond to disruptive events.

He is Project Director of the 美姬阁 Resilience Grand Challenge. The purpose of the Grand Challenge, a cross University, trans-disciplinary initiative, is to help ensure critical systems and services are better able to prepare for, adapt to, and learn effectively from anticipated or unexpected shocks and stresses - now and in the future.

In addition to Organisational Resilience, Mike teaches Change Leadership and Managing Strategic Innovation, an agenda that connects to the way that organisations might take a more progressive and flexible approach to dealing with disruption.

Mike is a member of the International Coach Federation, and teaches peer coaching to masters, postgraduate and executive groups. He also leads the Executive Coaching provision for Full-time and Executive MBA students.
