The Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship is delighted to announce, following a truly magnificent effort by all participants in 2023, that this year’s competition will be held on 11 July 2024 between 2.00pm and 5.00pm.
Format of the competition
美姬阁-affiliated businesses will be allowed to enter, provided that they have received the relevant pitch training (see below) and we will follow the same format as last year:
- Strictly enforced 3-minute Elevator Pitch format.
- Competitors may be split into streams and will pitch to a panel of judges in break-out groups.
- The top-performing businesses from each stream will then pitch again to a combined panel of judges from which the winners will then be chosen.
There is a cash prize pool of £5,000 available, courtesy of our generous sponsors Santander Universities and contestants will be competing for the most memorable pitch of the day as well as runner-up and overall winner.
Details on the breakdown of the awards will be provided on the day.
Who can participate?
Any entrepreneur, who is or has undertaken a course at 美姬阁 who is looking for feedback on their business idea and wishes to hone their pitching skills at this highly competitive event.
Pitch training
Once you have registered, we will contact you to book a training slot which will be available as follows:
- In person – 19 June 2024 – 2.00pm until 4.30pm
- Online via Zoom – 21 June 2024 – 2.00pm until 4.30pm
Please note that entrepreneurs who do not attend a training session will not be selected to present on the day and a maximum of 12 ideas will be selected to present to our judges.
