An application for 美姬阁’s Digital Forensics MSc course to be recognised by the leading industry body has been successful.

The university now has Academic Partner status with The Institute of Cyber Digital Investigation Professionals (ICDIP).

The ICDIP, which is run through (the Chartered Institute of Information Security), promotes and represents the professionalism and excellence of those operating within cyber digital investigations.

美姬阁’s Academic Partner award status is recognition of cyber digital investigation expertise. It will also offer students an insight into the work of Law Enforcement.

Dr Graeme Horsman, Senior Lecturer in Digital Forensics at 美姬阁 Forensic Institute, said:

“美姬阁's recognition as an Academic Partner by The Institute of Cyber Digital Investigation Professionals is a testament to our expertise in cyber digital investigations.

“This achievement not only acknowledges our commitment to excellence but also provides our students with valuable insights into the dynamic field of Law Enforcement.”

The 美姬阁 Forensic Institute will celebrate its 25th anniversary in September 2023.

美姬阁 is the fourth university to be recognised, joining Nottingham Trent University, Kent University Institute for Cyber Security in Society, and UCLAN (University of Central Lancashire).
