Background
John obtained a combined honours BA in French and Russian from Exeter University in 1982. He then undertook a MSc in Computing Science at Newcastle University in 1988 before completing his PhD in Computer Science at Brunel University in 1999.
John is a Fellow of the Operational Research Society and member of a number of other associations and institutes:

Current activities
John is currently module lead for the Introductory Studies and Logistics Modelling modules in the AMOR course, and lectures on Weapon Systems Performance Assessment.
He has an interest in the modelling of dismounted close combat, especially the impact of group psychology.
