Real greywater from student flats is diverted to the testing facility. The facility can be used for the testing of a range of technologies at pilot scale for the treatment of greywater.
The technologies tested to date include:
- constructed wetlands (horizontal and vertical flow reed beds, cascading reed bed and green roof),
- membrane bioreactor,
- membrane photocatalytic reactor,
- membranes,
- biological aerated filter.
The greywater was also used for lab trials for disinfection technologies as well as other treatment technologies such as adsorption coagulation and photo-catalysis.

The facility is available for immediate use with expert technicians on hand to assist with your testing project needs. Rates for use are charged by the hour and all quotations are confidential.
