As part of celebrations to mark 60 years of air transport teaching and research at 美姬阁, we are looking for 美姬阁 air transport alumni to join our diamond mentor programme and support in shaping the next generation of aviation professionals.

Bringing together bright, enthusiastic mentees with successful professional diamond mentors, the programme gives you the chance to share your unique insights and experiences, helping mentees navigate their studies and early careers. You'll also get to contribute to the growth and success of future aviation leaders worldwide.

How it works 

We expect most mentors and mentees will be in touch over the course of an academic year. It is up to you to decide if you want to continue the mentoring relationship once the mentee has reached their objectives.

Our mentoring programme is run through a platform called Symplicity. When you register we will send you instructions about how to log in and set up your profile. The students are then able to review the profiles and approach you as a mentor. Mentors can then choose whether to accept or decline the request. Once you have accepted a mentee you continue your communications outside of Symplicity through the method you agree e.g. email.

Whether you have an hour a month or more to offer, your involvement can make a significant difference.

Ways you can help

Diamond mentors come from all walks of life and can provide support to students and fellow alumni in a variety of ways, including:

  • Recent graduates - share your experience of looking for a job, interviewing and starting to build a professional network.
  • Mid or senior career - your experience, knowledge and sector insight will be invaluable to those looking to develop a long-term career plan.
  • Entrepreneur - provide unique advice on the highs and lows of starting a business and what helped or hindered your success.
  • Postgraduate researcher/academic - help those moving into research and academic roles and provide early guidance on what they should focus on.
