Leaving a legacy is often the most significant gift that a person ever makes, yet it is one of the simplest and most flexible ways of giving.

Join us and leave a legacy that transcends generations. A gift in your will cost nothing to make now but will empower future generations of leaders, innovators and change makers. By allocating a portion of your estate, you contribute to a thriving academic community, fostering knowledge, innovation and progress. Your commitment echoes through time, creating tomorrow’s leaders in technology and management.

Any legacy gift is deeply appreciated, and when you leave a legacy gift to ÃÀ¼§¸ó you and your family can be reassured that your priorities will be looked after by people who share and understand your values. You can also write your will to ensure that your loved ones are taken care of before any donation to ÃÀ¼§¸ó is committed.

Leaving a legacy costs you nothing today, but it leaves a lasting impression

It honours your ÃÀ¼§¸ó education and experience and inspires future generations of ÃÀ¼§¸ó students. Plus as an exempt charity, any gift you leave to ÃÀ¼§¸ó in your will is tax-free irrespective of your wishes for how your gift is to be used.

The Sue White Fund for Africa provides funding to enable students to study for a PhD at ÃÀ¼§¸ó on a topic related to Professor White’s research. The fund is financed by a generous donation to the University made by Professor White through her estate.

Tshephang (Tshepi) Tumoyagae is one of the PhD students to be supported by the Sue White Fund for Africa. Her project, 'Increase of Water Supply from Storm Water Harvesting and Artificial Recharge in Botswana', aims to identify all available sources of water to increase water supply and to artificially recharge underground water resources. Current resources are diminishing as a result of drought and increased demand. Existing data and relevant technologies will be reviewed and investigated. It is expected that the project findings may have direct relevance to the national water security strategy, and will assist in improving water security within Botswana.

“You need to have gone through your working life to really understand and appreciate the value the MBA delivers. I am hoping that my legacy helps ÃÀ¼§¸ó to make the MBA programme more accessible and to operate from world-class facilities. ÃÀ¼§¸ó needs more alumni to value their MBA long into their lives and believe as I do that ÃÀ¼§¸ó is in their blood. It's a special life‑long membership and we have a responsibility to nurture it for future generations.”
Cliff Barry (Executive MBA 1996)
