We surveyed our alumni in late 2022/early 2023. Overall, alumni feel positively towards ÃÀ¼§¸ó and are satisfied with the alumni services on offer to them.
- More than 9 out of 10 alumni who responded rated their time at ÃÀ¼§¸ó as a positive experience.
- Nearly 9 out of 10 respondents said they would recommend ÃÀ¼§¸ó to someone considering starting a university course.
- Since graduating, alumni most commonly access the eNewsletter, alumni events and the alumni portal.
- The areas of most interest to alumni are: subject-specific and thought leadership content, ÃÀ¼§¸ó research news and content, news and information about ÃÀ¼§¸ó and lecturers, and news and information about fellow alumni.
- Satisfaction with alumni services is high with more than 8 in 10 at least moderately satisfied.
The research concluded that the connections alumni have with ÃÀ¼§¸ó and each other are extremely important to alumni.
What we are doing with the survey results
Based on the survey results, we are working on improving awareness of alumni services and how to access them, connect with ÃÀ¼§¸ó and each other, and continue to grow alumni engagement.
What we are doing:
- Sourcing thought leadership from around the University, sharing ÃÀ¼§¸ó research, and finding and sharing alumni stories and successes.
- Improving our email communication design so they are mobile responsive and more engaging.
- Refreshing online event programme to include webinars with alumni and faculty.
- Reintroduced School of Management Alumni Conference to provide alumni networking and thought leadership content.
- Pub Nights focused on faculty/departments and supporting networking opportunities.
- Working with Schools on rankings for improved reputation.
- Reviewing social media platforms to share content with alumni.
